JUST WANTED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW THAT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20TH, 2007 WAS THE 3RD ANNUAL VETERANS BBQ AT THE BOULDER CITY VETERANS HOME IN BOULDER CITY. CLUB MEMBERS MET AT 10 AM AND STARTED COOKING. THE BBQ OPENED AT 11 AND OUR GUYS FED EVERY PERSON STAYING AT THE VETERANS HOME INCLUDING THE STAFF AND MEMBERS OF THE CARE BEARS. GREG BERNACKI and SKIPPY HAVLICEK WERE PLEASED TO SEE THE THIRTY PLUS MEMBERS WHO CAME OUT TO HELP COOK, SERVE AND FEED THE VETS. IT WAS A COUPLE OF HOURS OF THEIR TIME WHICH
BENEFITED THE MEN AND WOMEN CONFINED TO THE HOME. IF YOU WERE UNABLE TO BE THERE, TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES WE HAVE ON LINE.

The 2007 Annual Reunion is over, everyone from out of town has gone home and there is little left except for the memories of the good times and faces of long lost friends. Now it is time to start again, plans for 2008 need to be initiated as soon as possible to reserve hotels, dates and times. The Board of Directors of CPAON will make 2008 a main topic at their next meeting and ideas will be presented at the July meeting. Don't just sit back and talk, take part and join the planning of 2008. We want and need your ideas and input, tell us what you liked or did not like, help us plan the event. Everyone who has attended any one of the past reunions must have some idea of what they would like, either be at the meeting in July or send us an email and share your thoughts. What would you like to see at a reunion?

Don Connor, has once again entered our official squad in the
2007 Super Run Car Show in Downtown Henederson
The Show runs from Thursday, Sept 20 thru Sunday Sept 23rd, 2007
Don will be there with all kinds of CPAON Memorabilia and is
hoping everyone, members and non-members from the Chicago

It's On Again...... Greg Bernacki and his new assistant or Co-Chairman,
Skippy Havlicek announced that the Third Annual Veterans BBQ, at
the Boulder City Veteran's Home is scheduled October 20th, 2007.
The BBQ is one of the largest events the Association has sponsored for
the last two years. This event is put together to honor the vets who
have given so much for their country. Greg stated that further details
will be given out at the next couple of meetings, however start to search
your pantries for items that can be donated. Everyone is welcome to
join in, we need Food, Cooks, Waiters, Friendly Faces and more to help
make the 2007 Veterans BBQ the largest event seen for the Vets.

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS PARTY - 2007
The Annual Christmas Party, is always the last Gala Event of the year. This year it looks like the party will be held at the new Putters Location which will be located at I-215 and South Rainbow Avenue. Putters is presently under construction and should be done in time for our party. They plan on having a hall large enough to accommodate our group. Right now it looks like the party will be held on Friday, December 14th, 2007. Everyone should be reminded that we have always participated in the Toys for Tots Program which is ran by Jeff Becker. Jeff asked that we start informing everyone that we are collection new unwrapped toys which Jeff and his Wife will transport to the Children before Christmas. The time and price of tickets should be available soon and will be posted here on our web site. Pictures from last year are on line, take a look.
